About

As Chief Technology, Data & Innovation Officer (CTO) and Managing Director of Bundesdruckerei, I am responsible for strengthening the technological and innovative capabilities that support Germany’s sovereign digital infrastructure. I bring more than a decade of leadership and transformation experience in the digitization of public administration across government and industry. Prior to joining Bundesdruckerei Group in February 2026, I served as Partner and Global Public Sector Data & AI Leader at PwC, where I led international programmes on data, AI and digital transformation in the public sector. Previously, as the first Chief Data Officer at the German Federal Chancellery, I established and led the Federal Government’s data and AI labs. At Dataport, one of Germany’s largest public IT service providers, I drove strategic transformation as Chief Strategy Officer. My work has been recognised by Capital magazine, which named me twice among the “Top 40 under 40.” I regularly contribute to international discussions on digital government, data and AI, open-source technologies, cloud strategies and digital public infrastructure, including through my work in the United Nations DPI Safeguards Working Group. Outside of work, I am passionate about rugby union and participate actively in this value-driven sport as a Bundesliga referee.
