Here's my story how I went from being an AI/ML Engineer student to the Head of AI at Nitea AB. Nitea is a forward-thinking web agency that was already building toward an AI-first future, and my work during the LIA internship helped accelerate that timeline. I put RAG pipelines, conversational AI, and data integrations into production for real clients during my internship. Nitea had the vision, I brought the execution, and together we turned AI into a core service line. They created the Head of AI position and I was the natural fit to take it. Now I own AI strategy and delivery in Nitea AB. I architect solutions, write production code in FastAPI and Vue.js, run vector search with pgvector, orchestrate agents, and sit in on client meetings to figure out what to build and why. I like being the person who both draws the system diagram and writes the code that makes it real. I spend a lot of my time outside work staying sharp. Reading papers, testing new models, breaking things locally on my own hardware. AI moves fast enough that standing still for a quarter means falling behind, so I treat continuous learning as non-negotiable rather than something I do when I feel like it. After graduating from Teknikhögskolan's AI & Machine Learning Engineering program, I was asked to stay on their leadership group as an industry representative. I had already been involved as a student representative, so it was a natural continuation. Now I advise on where the program should go next, bringing what I see in production back into the classroom so the education stays relevant.
Leading AI strategy and hands-on implementation at Nitea AB, a Stockholm-based web agency positioning itself as Sweden's first AI-integrated consultancy. Also overseeing Nitea Labs AB, our subsidiary focused on autonomous AI agent systems. I design and deliver end-to-end AI solutions: RAG-based conversational agents, API integrations, multi-agent orchestration, and intelligent automation. I work across the full technical stack while contributing to business development, client technical dialogues, and team capability building.
