Legal Traineeship at DanTrade Cycles & Procurement HQ. During the traineeship I engaged in legal work surrounding the operations from a contractual and regulatory compliance perspective. My work varied from drafting/reviewing/negotiating agreements with suppliers, to designing relevant legal & compliance risk management solutions, communicating updates on new regulatory requirements and providing legal support to all areas under the scope of Cycles & Procurement. Some of these areas include direct/indirect sourcing, milk cycles, ingredients, packaging and product security. A large part of my work involved regulatory compliance of initiatives and operations with all EU regulations. In particular my focus was on sensitive EU Antitrust topics such as cooperation agreements with other market operators, exchange of information, market dominance and vertical relationships with business partners. Furthermore, as part of the regulatory compliance scope, I assisted the team in designing the internal GDPR guidelines and for all relevant stakeholders and organized training sessions focused on infringement prevention and deeper understanding on the matter. Overall, my role consisted in assisting the lawyers of the General Counsel's team in providing indications of potential risks of violations and determine the most compliant and effective ways of fulfilling operative goals both short and long-term.

About the project: This project involves student pro-bono advisers facilitating an interview between clients and solicitors on trusts and debt law matters. The sessions take place at Brent CAB and involve direct client contact. Clyde & Co has launched an innovative Pro Bono clinic via Skype. This is the first clinic to operate using Skype technology. Student pro-bono advisers and Clyde & Co lawyers are able to advise from their offices, so the whole team is able to participate. BPP Law students play a key role in this project by facilitating the meetings, sitting with the clients at Brent CAB and by taking notes. Further, student advisers offer initial advice and refer clients where necessary. Pro-Bono advisers also undertake basic casework such as correspondence letters.
