• Receive the Clients brief/remit, formulate the scope of works and develop the design philosophy. • Provide best value working design solutions to technical problems • Manage members of the design team to ensure the timely delivery of information, checking the work of other members of staff and providing assistance to their continued learning and development • Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary design environment such that designs consider the impact across all relevant disciplines • Undertake calculations using design software but also by hand as required. • Ensuring that all Project Documentation is managed according to the requirements of the Project Quality Plan and project specific requirements • Responsibility for ensuring that work within the department is carried out accurately and with due diligence • Effective Time management and execution of output within defined timeline and budgetary constraints • Ensuring effective, professional and appropriate communication at all times whilst protecting the interest of the company • Problem solving and application of good engineering principles • Understanding and ensuring compliance with Clients Specifications, User Requirement Specifications, Health and Safety Requirements, Company Quality requirements, Company Policy, legislation, design standards and good engineering practice • Supporting and assisting management and colleagues • Adhere to the Company’s ethical conduct guidelines and maintain a working environment which is supportive and respectful of other employees
• Preparation of the Basic engineering production during Contract execution and Tender i.e. Process design Note, Technical Write up, Design Calculation, PFD, P&ID, Hydraulic calculation and HFD • Involved in preparation of General Arrangement drawing, Layout, and coordinating with the drafting department for timely completion of drawings. • In charge of appropriateness and coherency of the entire design production in respect of process requirements and adhering to project specifications. • Participate in the weekly Design review meetings and obtain design and technical approval from consultant and client on technical submissions. • Coordination with internal engineering disciples, project management team and procurement team to understand the project baseline and identify risk associated with project and meet the deliverables on time. • Liaising with Clients, Consultants, Suppliers, Statutory authorities, and representation at Technical meetings of the project. • Selection of equipment like pump, blower, and other related equipment by coordinating with the mechanical and electrical disciplines. • Coordinating with the Sales during tender stage to provide all technical information. • Providing technical specifications and follow up with the suppliers interfacing with the purchase departments • Participate in the preparation of Control Philosophy • Involved in Design and safety reviews, HAZOP study. • Provide technical presentations and serve on technical review boards in project reviews.
