I graduated from Binghamton's SOM program with a major in Accounting and a concentration in Finance. My full time role is an ETF Product Development Associate where I support New York Life Investment Management's active ETF lineup. My other responsibilities include creating materials for internal board presentations, seed capital meetings, and conducting market and competitor research within the ETF market.
Responsible for launches of New York Life Investment Management’s actively managed ETFs. Source competitive analysis data on Morningstar for future potential ETF product launches. Involved in the data collection, analysis and presentation of our Global Product Committee, Product Coordination Committee, Seed Capital Committee, and ETF Board meetings.
Under the Global Market Strategy team, I analyzed macroeconomic data to help form our asset allocation views. By analyzing data from providers such as Bloomberg, Pitchbook, and Equity Research articles, I helped create graphs, presentations, and research reports to show our stakeholders. Some of the team's work includes Macro Pulse insights, Market Matters Podcasts, and Webinars.
The Global Product Management team researches New York Life Investment's mutual funds and ETFs while answering product related questions from advisors. Under the Portfolio Solutions team, I created customized reports on Morningstar regarding portfolio compositions and investment metrics. I examined financial markets to find compelling stories that aligned with our investment products to contribute to marketing strategies.
Apogem Capital is a boutique that sits under New York Life Investment Management. Responsible for the collection and organization of investment data. Tracked quarterly financial operating metrics from portfolio companies, and assisted with performance reporting. Used CRM platforms such as DealCloud to track fundraising, relationship management, and created customized dashboards to support teams across Apogem Capital.
As Equities Portfolio Manager of The Binghamton Investment Fund, I oversaw the allocation of alumni investments totaling around $500,000 and managed 90 active student analysts. I connected with 11 Sector Heads on a regular basis to check on each sector’s relative performance to the market. By organizing weekly meetings with all members, each sector had the ability to pitch a stock where the board members and I voted on the acceptance of the pitch towards the portfolio. Taught financial modeling skills on Excel and presentation skills on PowerPoint to the new class of Junior Analysts.
Led a new sector in the Binghamton Investment Fund where I organized research primers and stock pitches related to Utility stocks in the market. Managed a group of 4 analysts where I delegated research and presentation responsibilities to each analyst to run our portfolio. Resource for analysts in my sector and throughout the fund by assisting analysts with research questions to help their development.
Junior Analyst in the Utilities and Real Estate sector of the Binghamton Investment Fund. Supported Excel models and created PowerPoints for sector presentations at Investment Fund meetings.
Interned at a recently merged Private Equity firm under New York Life Investment Management which specializes in middle market opportunities. Supported the transition of data and software into one centralized platform for all 3 previous funds to use simultaneously. Contributed to DealCloud, a platform that enables the Investor Relations team to keep track of limited partners across Apogem's funds, private fund operating metrics, and respective fund performance through summarized dashboards. Updated quarterly valuations for private companies held within our portfolios. Some analysis included updating EBITDA multiples and analyzing precedent exit multiples of similar companies in the industry.
Interned at a specialty fixed income boutique owned by New York Life Investment Management. Developed financial modeling skills by analyzing the credit quality of corporate bond issuances. Gained an understanding of the Bloomberg Terminal to locate a variety of data across company and macro related information. Listened to lender call presentations and delivered feedback to management about the status of each company's respective financial strength.
