About

Bianca Severijns is a Dutch-born contemporary paper artist (autodidact), who is currently based in Israel and established her “Peace of Paper” studio in 2012, in the Tel Aviv area. Severijns creates her artworks through a conscientious exploration of paper. Art for her began as a study of the cycles of nature and progressed to social and humanistic themes. Her self-developed techniques to manipulate paper is based on layering, merging and weaving rough hand-torn pieces. Her art is centred on hand-craftsmanship, the chosen subject matter, multi-layering technique and monochrome colour use generate a uniquely complete universe of rich textures and harmonious complexity. Severijns has various exhibitions on her name both national and international.
