I am a climate change specialist with expertise in project delivery, Climate Change Mitigation, Physical Basis of Climate Change, Adaptation and Carbon Accounting. In this role, I am supporting the planning and execution of Libro’s climate change strategy. This includes supporting Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and impact measurement, extracting relevant insights to build strategy, engaging employees and internal stakeholders as we prepare for forthcoming climate risk regulation.
Environmental representative for several projects at varying stages and delivery types including Total Project Management (TPM), Developer Driven and minor capital. Worked collaboratively with consultants and review their deliverables. For example, environmental factor specific reports, public notices, Public Information Centre and Community Information Session display boards and presentations to external agencies. Adhered to the specifications outlined in the MTO Class EA for Provincial Transportation Facilities (2000) under various stages of a project.
Supported Sustainable Waterloo Region (SWR) in tailoring their existing capacity building activities to build transformative capacities in SMEs and/or in designing new capacity building activities more suited to this goal. This role focused on engaging green building organizations and initiatives across Canada to help mobilize a network and community of practice in the Waterloo Region.
Coordinated and supported the EA processes associated with the Municipal Class EA, Metrolinx’s Transit Project Assessment Process and the Class EA for Minor Transmission Facilities. Developed and coordinated the submission of reports, memorandums, and documents for submission to various clienteles. Drafted, coordinated senior review and submitted permit applications addressed to Conservation Agencies required to advance project schedules. Oversaw consultation activities required under Class EAs such as developing notices, Public Information Centre (PIC) boards, coordinating with newspapers and radio agencies, and creating and maintaining stakeholder contact lists.
