- Designed, constructed and operated an auto-thermal reforming system for biomass-derived pyrolysis oil upgrading - Collaborated with BASF Catalysts to evaluate their catalyst for auto-thermal reforming of biomass-derived pyrolysis oil (Work closely with BASF Catalysts. Presentations and discussion were carried out quarterly in BASF’s catalyst division in Iselin, NJ.) - Lead in the design and construction of a 3 kg/h fluidized bed biomass fast pyrolysis system (Pilot plant) (Skills demonstrated include P&ID preparation, energy and materials balance, sizing and selection of instruments and equipment, effective communication with vendors and hand-on skill for construction.) - Operated and maintained the GC-MS workstation for pyrolysis oil characterization
- Lead a research group consisting of two masters and four skilled operators - In timely improved the thermal resistance of PVDF resins to keep the customers from resorting to other suppliers - Provided technical support for a manufacturing plant producing PVDF resins for membrane and coating factories - Invited to share experience in the Third Fluorine Chemical Technology Exchange Meeting held in Qingdao city - Certified as a Professional Engineer (issued by Zhejiang Research Institute of Chemical Industry)
