About

Masters graduate with a background in Communication Science and Disorders in the Department of Modern Language at the University of Mississippi. A first-generation graduate from a Mexican immigrant family working on her first Master in Spanish with a focus on linguistics. My goals are to graduate and apply to a Doctoral program in the field of Audiology bringing a new perspective and inside to this field in regards to the Spanish speaking community in the United States. As a recent graduate, I am working as a translator for my community and the Institute of Child Nutrition. I also aspire to travel and learn more about the intricacies of how different cultures and languages influence one another's beliefs and cultures in both the literature and spoken language.

      My main focus is the translation and review of federally funded national resources such as instructors manuals, participants' workbook, and other instructional documentation from English to Spanish. I also handled Helpdesk calls in Spanish regarding technical/website/class issues, questions, and concerns that participants or individuals may have. When needed, I assist by participating or modeling in promotional videos and materials. Other faces of my position are to attend and participate in phone conferences with USDA and outside sourcing of translations in regards to translated works or reviews in Spanish. Lastly, I work reviewing and using Articulate 360/ Storyline 360 program during the creation process of online courses for the ICN eLearning Portal.
