I'm an author and an entrepreneurship instructor at Miami University. In June 2017, I published my first novel, Lu, about a modern woman's journey to faith, and I'm currently writing the sequel. I also teach courses in women and entrepreneurship and creativity for Miami's Farmer School of Business.
Managed internal and external strategic communications for Oxford Bible Fellowship (OBF), a church of 600+ attenders in Oxford, Ohio, by: • Envisaging and developing a brand-new position responsible for coordinating the communication efforts among multiple ministry leaders to encourage attenders’ participation and financial partnership. • Planning, writing, and designing publications from inception to production to market the church with a professional brand and consistent tone through multi-media streams, such as social media, e-newsletters, bulletins, and annual reports. • Organizing the planning, marketing, and execution of major church events, such as our annual meeting, fall and spring women’s retreats, and weeks of community outreach and prayer. • Managing a communications staff and collaborating with ministry leaders to bind our team in engaging the congregation in the vision of the church through strategic communications.
Ensured the quality of user documentation for Ontario Systems, a receivables management software company, by: • Managing teams of writers and developers to develop technically accurate online help files. • Developing an in-house style guide to streamline our writing and editing processes. • Training and mentoring new employees and student interns.
