Founder and Club Leader of Cards for Hospitalized Kids at CRLS, a service initiative dedicated to creating handmade cards for children in hospitals across the United States. Leads the organization and coordination of card-making events, encouraging students to participate in community service and spread encouragement to hospitalized children. Oversees the collection and distribution process to ensure cards are sent to partner hospitals nationwide. This role demonstrates leadership, initiative, organization, and a strong commitment to supporting and uplifting children during difficult times.
I participated in Breakthrough Greater Boston for six years, a college preparation program that supports students academically and personally. Through the program, I developed important skills such as leadership, time management, collaboration, and critical thinking. Breakthrough helped prepare me for my future by providing academic support, mentorship, and opportunities to explore college and career pathways. The program encouraged me to challenge myself, set goals, and build confidence as I work toward higher education and long-term success.
Served as a counselor at church for one week, working with youth ages 5–13. Responsibilities included teaching Bible stories, discussing key aspects of the faith, and leading the group in hymns. Organized and facilitated team-building activities and group games that encouraged collaboration, confidence, and positive relationships among the youth. This role helped create a supportive environment where young participants could learn more about their religion while developing friendships and important social skills.
Served as a Junior Counselor for two summers in a summer learning program led by Harvard college students. Responsibilities included supporting academic activities by helping teach math concepts and guiding students through educational exercises. Assisted with organizing and supervising engaging learning experiences, including educational field trips and group activities. This role involved mentoring younger students, encouraging curiosity and confidence in learning, and helping create a positive and supportive educational environment.
