Digital consultant for Art360: a project that offers support to develop and sustain the archives of 100 modern and contemporary leading artists, providing participants expert and bespoke legacy consultancy. This is a three year action research project that will work with artists and artists’ estates to identify the significant challenges and opportunities to safeguard Britain’s culture heritage. Key Accomplishments: + Digitalised vast analogue collections of artists (Maria Chevska, Peter de Francia and Sarah Staton) who have thousands of slides and drawings outside of the public domain and are predominately in the margins, unseen or unavailable. + Responsible for identifying, preparing and retrieving items for digitisation. This includes assessing the suitability of materials for digitisation based on criteria including physical condition and format of the items. + Scanned the analogue material using vertical optical systems (Imacon Flextight X1) and flat bed scans (Epson Perfection V850 Pro) and supplied digital images and prints retouched, colour balanced and restored in multiple formats according to the client requirements. + Settled priorities for digitisation and levels of detail for descriptive metadata, ensuring that images are uniquely identified + Implemented artists’ archives uploading images and metadata using File Maker Pro; shared digital images as part of this project with other collections.
Assisted in the organisation and execution of Offprint London, Art Publishing Fair at Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall. The fair hosted 140 independent and experimental publishers in contemporary art, photography and graphic design, offering a program of workshops and performances.
