Bert is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Dell’s Displays, Software and Peripherals (DSP) business, which generates ~$15B in revenue. Bert is an entrepreneurial-minded leader with a proven track record of driving innovation and enhancing the business's profitability, performance, and value. Bert has established world-class capabilities that have propelled Dell to a leadership position in displays and peripherals. He has effectively driven the company's success in this competitive market through strategic business planning, innovation, operational excellence, and the development of high-performance leadership teams. Bert has held comprehensive leadership responsibilities across product development, sales, marketing, and general management. His extensive global experience within the IT hardware industry has equipped him with a deep understanding of what it takes to meet and exceed expectations in a rapidly evolving technology landscape. Before joining Dell, he served as Senior Vice President at Samsung Electronics' Device Solutions Business, leading global sales and marketing for LCD panels and the LED component sector. Additionally, Bert held various senior leadership roles during his tenure at Applied Materials Inc. Bert holds a Master’s degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He is currently based in Singapore.
The Global General Manager is responsible for the Displays, Software and Peripherals product group (~$15B revenue) and has end-to-end responsibility, including profit and loss.
E2E general management responsibility for the displays and client peripherals lines of businesses.
Strategy, business planning and market management for partner software and peripherals business unit including display, imaging, client peripherals and enterprise infrastructure lines of businesses.
Responsible for Global Sales, Marketing and Product Planning for LED Lighting business.
Global Sales, Marketing and Product Planning for LCD Panel Business including TV, Notebook, Monitor and specialty applications including digital signage.
Responsible for worldwide Sales, Marketing and technical support of semiconductor fabrication equipment.
