European development of the new neat resin -tailored to plastics processors- PLA bioplastics product portfolio for extrusion, thermoforming, fiber spinning, injection molding & nucleating agent processing customers. PLA is a biobased plastic derived from natural resources, offering a huge carbon footprint reduction compared to oil-based plastics. Currently being used in a variety of applicatoins like packaging and food serviceware, PLA is increasingly becoming the material of choice for more demanding applications in automotive, electronics and textiles. Now, thanks to our latest developments in lactide technology, PLA based on our high quality lactides delivers even better heat resistance. High heat PLA is proven to withstand temperatures up to 140°C. This allows manufacturers and brandowners to use biobased PLA as a replacement for polystyrene (PS), polypropylene (PP) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) in more demanding applications.
