As a final-year Chemistry student at Nanyang Technological University, I have built a strong foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Food Chemistry and Nutrition. I hold a Diploma in Chemical Engineering with Merit from Temasek Polytechnic, where I specialised in Applied Chemistry, and I am well-versed in key laboratory techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS, IR Spectroscopy, UV-Vis, and pH analysis. During my internship at A*STAR, I gained hands-on research experience synthesizing and evaluating antimicrobial agents using standardised methods. I further sharpened my technical and analytical skills at Nestlé, where I supported enzyme trials from bench to pilot plant scale, operated food processing equipment, and conducted detailed sample analyses. I am actively seeking opportunities where I can contribute meaningfully and continue growing in the field of chemistry and food science.
• Planned and executed enzyme trials at both bench and pilot plant scales to develop product prototypes showcasing technological benefits. • Operated equipment such as spray dryer, homogeniser, Thermomix, Silverson, and churner for milk powder and ice cream formulation trials. • Performed analytical testing using rheometer, Lumisizer, NIR, microscope, Zetasizer, spectrophotometer, and solids analyser to evaluate sample characteristics. • Quantified and characterised proteins using BCA assay, SDS-PAGE, and native gel electrophoresis techniques. • Evaluated residual enzyme activity across different stages of pilot-scale production using various enzyme assay methods. • Logged and collated data and presented findings clearly and concisely for reporting and decision-making.
• Synthesized poly-imidazolium salt in gel form for experimental purposes. • Conducted scientific research on antimicrobials, evaluating their effects using standardized methods such as Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) L 1902, JIS Z 2801, and GB 15979-2002. • Completed a major project report on antimicrobials, detailing findings and methodologies used.
