Feature stories for German and Swiss newspapers and magazines from Scandinavia mainly
After studying geography in Tübingen, Germany and Maynooth, Ireland, I trained in journalism at the journalist school IFP in Munich and the daily “Stuttgarter Nachrichten”. I joined “Zeitenspiegel”, an agency for news and feature reporting, in 1999. Awards I have received to date include the journalism award of the “Robert Bosch Foundation” (2001), the “Rerum Novarum Prize” (2002), the “Regino Prize for excellence on reporting in jurisprudence” (2007), and the “World Population Journalism Award” (2009). Since 2004 I have been editor-in-chief at Zeitenspiegel’s corporate communications subsidiary agentur.zs, overseeing such publications as “Bilfinger Berger Magazine”, which has been honoured with “Best of Corporate Publishing” awards. Assignments for magazines and NGOs take me regularly to Scandinavian countries and to East Africa.
