I have a true passion for entrepreneurship and for family owned businesses. I believe we should use our profesionnal skills to create long term and sustainable value. By joining Deminor in the early years, I have been able to combine different goals, i.e. developing my own business as an entrepreneur and use my experience and skills to assist shareholders and companies. I truly hope to pursue this passion for a long time. I also strongly believe in the shared knowledge economy. This is why I spend part of my time to board memberships in SME's, coaching or mentoring sessions at diverse professional and academic organisations. Specialties: Expertise in corporate transactions, company law, corporate governance and corporate finance, esp. in family owned enterprises. I believe I can help in a mediation process to solve conflicts and align shareholders or family members. This was the reason for me to obtain a certification as a MBTI practitioner and to continuously educate myself on conflict resolution and emotional intelligence.
As a CEO of deminor NXT, I am in charge of coordination all activities and head of the Executive Committee. Outside my management tasks, I am still very intensly involved in pending assignments for clients and companies located mainly in Flanders. At Deminor I started as a Legal Counsel in 1992, became an Executive Partner in 1996 and the CEO in 2022. A more than 30 years long journey. Our core business is to assist minority shareholders, directors and entrepreneurs on all type of shareholder, legal, financial and governance matters. Our services include representing shareholder interests, the valuation and sale of a minority stake, conceiving and implementing corporate governance changes, draft shareholder agreements, succession planning in a privately held entreprise, set up of a family charter, conflict resolution, etc. We assist our clients both in privately or family held companies, and in listed companies.
When I joined Deminor group in 1992, all activities were still in one entity, including (until 2005) Deminor Voting and Rating Services. Since 2014, we have split the group into two entities, Deminor NXT and Deminor Litigation Funding. This entity is rapidly growing into a global Litigation Funding player, with several offices in Europe, the UK, the USA and Hong Kong. Deminor Litigation Funding offers funding and services in the field of investor recovery, anti-trust cases and all type of commercial and private litigations. I am still an equity partner and a Non-Executive Director, member of the Remuneration Committee, and an Observer in the Investment Committee. As from 24 June 2025, I was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Als Business Mentor mag ik samen met het VOKA team een 15-tal ondernemers uit KMO's met +50 FTE's begeleiden in het VOKA Plato Flow managementtraject. Daarnaast ben ik ook expert en coach voor de Labs Raad van Advies en Raad van Bestuur, een opleiding ondernemers en voor kandidaten externe bestuurders of lid van een raad van advies.
Since June 2015, I have been appointed as a Non Exectuvie Director of IRIS GROUP, a family owned holding, with several divisions. IRIS is one of the leading cleaning and facilities providers in Belgium, is also a leader in anticorrosion treatment in the industrial and public works sector and has entered more recently the HVAC sector. Since June 2023, I have been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Since November 2018, I am a non executive director of BOUWMAR NV, a company exploiting do-it-yourself stores under the brand name GAMMA in Belgium, part of Bourrelier Group S.A. In this capacity, I assist and represent Bourrelier Group SA in its relationship with the franchisor Intergamma BV (Netherlands).
