Mechanical Design Engineer with 7 years of experience across medical devices, consumer products, optical systems, scientific instruments, and satellites. I specialise in end-to-end product development with deep expertise in design for manufacture (DFM), particularly for injection moulding, sheet metal, CNC milling/turning, and additive manufacturing. I am an expert SolidWorks user with formal training in Simulation, Flow Simulation, Sheet Metal, and Routing. I’m also trained in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to BS 8888 (ISO 8015) and have hands-on manufacturing experience with vertical mills and lathes. I have a strong background in rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing, supported by a professional-grade 3D printer and laser cutter (Bambu Lab H2D) at home. I have introduced FDM printing at every company I’ve worked for, reducing prototyping times from weeks to hours. At Logitech, I implemented FDM-based low-volume production, developing polypropylene sensor housings printed around internal components—eliminating the need for fasteners or adhesives.
