• Engage with foreign embassies, business groups, advocacy organizations, and other key stakeholders, and prepare briefing materials to ensure the member is fully informed for all engagements. • Work closely with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to prepare committee materials and support the member’s engagement in hearings, legislation, and markups. • Serve as direct aide to Paul Bonicelli, Ph.D., the National Security Advisor and a Senate-confirmed former USAID Assistant Administrator under President George W. Bush, as well as a longtime professor and scholar of international affairs.
• Conducted in-depth policy research, prepared briefing summaries, and attended committee hearings to address policy matters and constituent concerns. • Assisted full-time staff in managing constituent inquiries, record-keeping, and correspondence. • Provided informative and engaging tours of the U.S. Capitol, delivering insights on its history, architecture, and legislative functions to constituents and visitors.
