Benoit Raillard is a senior corporate executive, independent board director and private equity operating partner with more than 30 years of experience across investing, LBO-backed C-suite roles and consulting, from mid-cap to very large cap and from high-performing to distressed companies. Over the last decade, he has served as an Operating Partner in private equity at CDPQ and GIMV, acting as Managing Director and member of investment and portfolio performance committees. In these roles, he has overseen a broad portfolio of European and global companies, driven value creation plans, led operational due diligence on new investments and prepared assets for exit across business services, industrials, healthcare, infrastructure and real-estate related services. Earlier, Benoit spent 13 years as a C-level executive in PE-backed companies under LBO (B2B and B2C services at Elis and 5àSec) and 7 years in management consulting focused on private equity (Bain & Company, AlixPartners). This included leading turnaround plans in Europe and the US, combining operational and financial restructuring, and acting as a board member representing lenders in lender-led transactions and complex capital structures. He has held around twenty board mandates in both privately owned and listed companies, in roles ranging from chair and committee chair (audit, remuneration, nomination, risk and compliance) to non-executive director and board observer. This gives him a practical view of governance from the perspective of sponsors, management teams and creditors. Benoit currently serves as Senior Advisor to Ceres Industries and as a non-executive board member at WeMaintain and AC Environnement. He works independently with private equity sponsors, credit investors and management teams across Europe who need a hands-on partner to assess businesses, stabilise operations, improve performance and manage lender-driven or sponsor-driven transitions. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MSc in Aeronautical Engineering from École Centrale Paris and an MSc in Finance from Sciences Po Paris.
