Bremen, Bremen, Germany
Working in the space industry was an inaccessible dream for me until I get the opportunity to realize my final training course in Astrium Bremen. It is not an easy choice to leave your country, your friends and your family to make your dream true. But working in the space industry is so incredible, thinking that what you are designing will flight in the space... During my studies I was really interested in mechanics, computers and of course space exploration. Today I found a way to work on these three fields!
Responsible for the flight worthiness of the Ariane 6 Upper Module
I have been transferred to the new joint venture on the first of July 2016 as all the people working on the Ariane 6 development project. I have three roles in this project: - VITF Interface Coordinator: My task is to define and manage all the mechanical interfaces of the Vinci Thrust Frame together with the partners. - ULPM Design Coordinator Deputy: I am assisting the ULPM Design Coordinator in his daily tasks. - CAD Key User for PLM-T: In the frame of the PLM-Transformation I was nominated as a key user in order to give my experience.
After one and half year working for HE Space Operations in the Ariane 5 ME project, I am now employed directly by Astrium in the same department: Design and Layout. I will continue to work on A5ME on different tasks like: -The interface definition for the Engine Thrust Frame produced by Dutch Space -The integration of the Vinci Engine designed by Snecma -The Actuator Envelope design in collaboration with Sabca And of course the kinematic model to prevent any collision between all these elements during the engine gimball. I'm working on Catia together with Delmia and RHEA for kinematic, robotic and integration studies. I am also working on the ITER project.
After my final training course in Astrium Bremen in Germany, I have signed a new contract for 6 months to continue my work in the Ariane 5ME project. HE Space Operations offer me the possibility to continue my work in Astrium as a Catia Design Engineer mainly in the Ariane 5ME project.
Engine kinematic model of the Vinci engine. During the Ariane's flight, the engine must be able to gimbal to control the trajectory. During my Master's trainee, I developed a Catia V5 kinematic model to prevent interference during the flight. Thanks to this model some interference has been found and I have defined some new envelopes to prevent any contact.
Ergonomic study to improve the working conditions. This study has been performed on the Delmia software and has discovered some risks for the workers' health. Low cost solutions have been found to prevent these problems. Workbench table replacements have also been discussed to find tables with customized hight for every employee.
