Benjamin is an Associate at the Global Transportation Finance team at Vedder Price. He is qualified in England & Wales and Singapore. He was previously an Associate at Stephenson Harwood in the shipping and offshore finance and general banking teams in Singapore. He was previously an Investment Analyst at Select Alternative Investments, investing in Private Equity, Private Credit, Venture Capital, and Real Estate. Before that, he was an Associate in the Capital Markets team at Clifford Chance. He has a Bachelor of Laws (Summa Cum Laude) degree from Singapore Management University (SMU) and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University. He is a CFA® charterholder and an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants Affiliate. He has a strong academic record. He was the top in Singapore for ACCA's Advanced Financial Management, Advanced Performance Management, Strategic Business Leader, and Strategic Business Reporting exams. He was placed on the SMU School of Law Dean's List and has performed well in academic competitions such as the SMU Accounting Challenge (Champion), Mazars Tax Essay Challenge (3rd), Maybank GO Ahead Challenge (National Finalist), and the Bloomberg Aptitude Test (2nd in Asia-Pacific). After closing his books, he served as the President of the SMU Recreational Fishing club (two consecutive terms). He is passionate about spreading his love for sport fishing and fish conservation. He has represented SMU in local and international intercollegiate bowling tournaments. He has organized and raised funds for several overseas community service projects in Chiangmai, Nepal, and Medan. He has also organized fundraising events for the Guide Dogs Association of the Blind. He volunteered as the bookkeeper for the Zero Waste Singapore non-profit organization and in a food shelter in San Antonio, Texas.
