I am a US Army veteran with six years of service in the 75th Ranger Regiment, one year service in the invitation-only United States Army Marksmanship Unit, and just under a year of service in the 3rd Infantry Division. I have three combat deployments, all with the 75th Ranger Regiment, one being to Iraq and two to Afghanistan. Outside of the military I've pursued many areas of work across Information Technology as well as part time skill based labor. I've taken on personal computer "building" as a hobby as well, having put together several custom PCs for myself in addition to consulting with friends on their own projects. I still enjoy shooting and help instruct those new to firearms as I am able. I also spend as much time with my two dogs as possible. Otherwise, I am currently a full time worker at a Gold's Gym where I assist in managerial duties as well handle the majority of front desk operations. Serve as front desk staff at Gold's Gym in Pflugerville. Responsible for facilitating member check-ins as well as servicing a wide variety of member needs (billing, classes, new membership agreements, renewals, etc). Assist in general managerial duties as well as ensure other team members are aware of new/changing methods of work at the front desk.
Served in various roles across ATP as needed. Served as lead on laser production and third party fulfillment before switching to primary printer/tagger as organization grew and refit. Responsible for tracking personal production numbers as well as maintaining/cleaning production equipment (direct to garment printers, heat presses, and computer support systems). Common laborer.
Directly responsible for execution of LiveFire support and operation of wireless target banks during JRTC rotations under the WFF program. Responsible for the maintenance and installation of electronic training aids. Responsible for the implementation and administration of wireless network operations, including network setup, SSID assignment and protection, security profiles, network keys, and basic hardware configuration. Oversaw and contributed to transition from standard 802 wireless network to generation 2 LTE enterprise network. Advanced responsibility in site client and server software configuration and administration. Served as subject matter expert in computer system administration when encountering non-traditional and unique problems in support of mission requirements.
Served as a WatchDesk Analyst in the DHS USCIS Security Operations Center (SOC). Responsible for management, investigation, and electronic cataloguing and/or escalation of GFE Security incidents for the Department of Homeland Security and USCIS. Maintained an electronic brief record of the same and conversed with higher management as needed. Work required familiarity with and use of a variety of security and administrative tools to include Active Directory, Splunk, ServiceNOW, Wireshark, etc.
Served as an Electronics Technician II on the JRTC(Joint Readiness Training Center) Network Operations Team. Responsible for mobile and solid infrastructure configuration and connectivity of Cisco networking devices to provide up to Secret level services for soldiers training during large scale war games. Worked daily with routers, switches, firewalls, VOIP phones, fiber lines, radios, microwave antennas, and network monitoring software (SNMP and Solar Winds) to monitor and maintain network assets connected and unconnected during and outside of training rotations. Facilitated life-cycle management and individual site expansion of the same.
