Telehealth Therapist
Frequent Activities • Documenting Intakes for therapists (for clients with mental health and substance use disorders) • Housing Intakes (Reviewing client possessions for suitability in sober living housing, cataloging client medication for review by staff, verbally reviewing rules, showing client around their sober living house) • Participation in Relapse Prevention Group ( Frequently worked to reflect and clarify client statements to further client insight under the supervision of the group leader) • Attended complete Lecture Series provided to clients One Time Activities: • Took over for lecturer when they became ill • Presented cultural in-service training on members of my population to fellow interns
Pre Covid: • Worked with English and Spanish speaking families (children and parents) in the Promise Neighborhoods program in southwest Detroit to provide educational interventions (activities designed to support development) created under the guidance of an SCEC expert. • Helped families access resources to meet their needs, translated documents from English to Spanish and interpreted as needed. Post Covid (March 2020 to end): • Took calls on the intake line and referred callers to resources or the intake department of Black Family Development Inc. as appropriate. • Followed up with callers who requested additional assistance.
• Personally extended departmental working hours. • Implemented a new system to more efficiently track and route part deliveries. • Jointly trained employees and supervisors on new electronic inventory system (ERP). • Evaluated employees. • Assisted employees to obtain workplace accommodations. • Hired and separated employees as needed. • Recruited and trained replacement Parts Manager.
• Sold insurance policies via inbound telephone calls and cold calling. • Spared employer unnecessary costs by moving on to a more mutually beneficial position.
