About

HR expertise built over 18 years: recruitment, talent, organisation design, HR strategy, management, leadership, employment relations, change, learning, engagement, internal communication, policies… I’ve managed and led HR and HR teams for many countries in Europe, the US, and Hong Kong. I support and fund movements that promote and protect people who identify as LGBTQIA+, people of all colors and races, political and war refugees. I believe in learning and sharing, caring, and forgiving, being fair and being kind. On the lighter side, I would welcome at any time of any day conversations about arts, dogs, tennis, plants, food, alternative/rock music, advice on Provence, Sicily, Paris, or London. Come talk to me in English, French, Italian, German or Spanish :-)

Experience

  • Sr Director of People & Culture at Hauser & Wirth
    Jan 2021 - Present · 5 yrs 6 mos

  • HR Director, UK & EMEA at Crabtree & Evelyn
    Jun 2019 - Dec 2020 · 1 yr 7 mos

At “C&E” I was in charge of overseeing all HR activities in the UK, and then extended my remit to North America too. My main focus was to complete the organisation transformation to a full digital “pure player” e-commerce business, with the restructuring of activities and the development of new departments and new in-house expertise. The second part of my assignment was to build the basis for a refreshed HR approach after leadership change and set up the grounds for a healthier and more positive culture.

    • Head of HR and Internal Communications
      Sep 2017 - Oct 2018 · 1 yr 2 mos

I was promoted to Head of HR and Communications for both Penhaligon's and L'Artisan Parfumeur, looking after the HR generalist function for the UK, France, Asia and the US (with external support), as well as HR talent management (annual reviews, coaching, management training, talent and organisation reviews), and Engagement initiatives (survey, Values ambassadors, creation of a Facebook "Workplace" internal network, a Social Comittee). Reporting to the HR Director and directly to the CEO for an interim period, managing the HR team (recruitment, payroll, HR generalists).

    • HR Manager, Global
      May 2016 - Sep 2017 · 1 yr 5 mos

I joined "Perfumers 1870" (Penhaligon's & L'Artisan Parfumeur) as HR Manager with the full responsibility of day to day HR management for the UK (HQ and retail), France, Asia, and the US. The role, reporting to the HR Director, was a very generalist role including onboarding, talent management, organisation design, employment law, disciplinary procedures, engagement measure and activities, review of salaries and benefits, succession planning.

  • HR Business Partner (initially contract) at Jaeger
    Jun 2015 - Apr 2016 · 11 mos

My role at Jaeger was to support retail managers with business transformation: - management coaching for retail managers, store managers, store team members; - implementation of new roles and responsibilities, new measures of success and best practices; - re-engineering of performance reviews and performance management; - transformation of the retail structure (stores "clustering", openings, downsizings, closures) The role took unfortunately progressively a pure ER dimension with a massive restructuring/downsizing plan: individual and collective redundancies, ER cases.

  • HR Project Manager (contract) at bareMinerals
    Sep 2014 - Jan 2015 · 5 mos

In the absence of a HR Director, I managed a transition project within the Bares Escentuals HR team for the Shiseido Group that consisted in implementing a "HR shared services" approach and structure in the UK and Ireland for the group. The objective was to enable the Bare Escentuals HR team to support the brands Bare Minerals, Shiseido and NARS. I focused on 4 aspects: payroll and database migration, review of HR processes and procedures, training and temporary management of a team of HR generalists.
