I am a recent graduate from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. I am a highly motivated and ambitious individual with a strong willingness to learn and a drive to excel in everything that I do. I actively seek ways to challenge myself that will provide me with the necessary experience to prepare me for my future career. I have experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MATLAB, MIG welding, and forklift operating. I am passionate about traveling the world and experiencing other cultures. I currently have limited working proficiency in both German and Spanish and am actively working to improve my skills in both. I aim to pursue a career that will enact meaningful change in the world; allow me to utilize my skills, experiences, and passions; and will have a direct positive impact in the lives of others.
I have completed three co-op rotations. I have devised a new machine operation method to enhance employee efficiency, collected data on areas of lost production time, developed work instructions, and created an operator training presentation. I designed in SolidWorks and welded together a versatile cart to bring parts from the warehouse to the assembly cell. I assisted with many tasks within the pre-production process to prepare for a new product launch, including prototype building, testing, and development. I have ensured that new tooling met production requirements for the new product, contacted suppliers for part quotes, and shipped parts to other plants. I also used a Faro arm to measure weld fixtures and made adjustments to the fixtures to ensure proper alignment. I assisted with trial builds to ensure the machinery and tooling worked properly with the new product, to train operators, and to identify problem areas that needed to be addressed. I was also responsible for planning the relocation of a large coordinate measuring machine and its accompanying office space, using AutoCAD to revise the plant layout.
I was a member of the Morne Michel project group. In my first year on the team, we worked to develop a water system to provide a safe and reliable source of water to the village of Morne Michel in Haiti. In my second year, we worked to develop and design a plan for a roadway to connect Morne Michel to surrounding towns in order to provide the people of the village with easier access to medical facilities and other important resources. This roadway will also facilitate the construction of the water system.
