With 25 years of experience in a FDA regulated GMP facility I oversaw daily operations of the plant from production to manufacturing. I was responsible for ensuring policies and procedures in order to maximize safety, quality and productivity. I was also deeply involved in the LEAN manufacturing process to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes. Utilizing the LEAN manufacturing process we were able to increase production while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards. Developed/Execute Capital Projects including: * Development of project plans, budgets and Capital requests. * Development of detailed equipment specifications. * Request for proposal development and subsequent vendor selection. * Vendor/Construction management including change control. * Installation including troubleshooting and training. * Execute projects on time and within budget meeting all design criteria. * Support plant personnel in root cause and equipment performance analysis. * Support plant process improvement activities including equipment performance analysis, troubleshooting, and development of optimal settings and operating parameters. * Develop capacity plans and recommend alternatives for addressing shortfalls. * Perform job responsibilities with minimal day to day oversight.
• Directs workers, or assists in diagnosing malfunctions in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. • Plans and directs maintenance personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing equipment or systems. • Directs and coordinates assembly, fabrication and installation activities to ensure equipment and systems conform to engineering design and internal specifications and standards. • Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment. Evaluates production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. • Recommends design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions or to improve safety, quality or equipment operating parameters. • Researches and costs project proposals to determine feasibility, payback and equipment design. • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces OSHA, USDA and company safety regulations. • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. • Conduct safety training and ensure compliance with all company policies, plant rules and regulations. • Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the SQF system. • Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring. • Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan, the Food Quality Plan, and any other programs that support the SQF system and other third party audits.
• Assemble or test solar photo-voltaic products, such as inverters or energy management systems. • Assess and assemble electrical components for Allen Bradley applications, such as battery backup. Annual battery replacement and testing uninterruptible power supplies for computers or power chargers. • Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, or repair electrical instruments or testing equipment. • Collaborate with electrical engineers or other personnel to identify, define, or solve developmental problems. • Create or modify electrical components used in large-scale industrial baking plant. • Evaluate engineering proposals, shop drawings, or design comments for sound electrical engineering practice or conformance with established safety or design criteria. • Identify solutions to onsite technical design problems involving electrical systems equipment. • Inspect electrical project work for quality control and assurance. • Install or maintain electrical control systems or solid-state equipment. • Interpret test information to resolve design-related problems. •Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, or systems to correct functional deviations. •Participate in the development or testing of electrical aspects of new green technologies, such as lighting, optical data storage devices, or energy efficient televisions. • Perform supervisory duties, such as recommending work assignments, approving leaves, or completing performance evaluations. • Plan method or sequence of operations for developing or testing experimental electronic or electrical equipment. • Provide technical assistance in resolving electrical engineering problems encountered before, during, or after construction. • Review existing electrical engineering criteria to identify necessary revisions, deletions, or amendments to outdated material. • Set up or operate test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under operating conditions.
