About

Co-founder @ Augment | Glycobiologist | AI-enabled Drug Design I'm a biotech founder and scientist working to bring the glycobiology into the age of programmable therapeutics. My research has focused on the essentiality, biosynthesis, and genetic encoding of glycans—carbohydrate structures that mediate communication at the cellular interface and influence everything from development to disease. Throughout my academic and early research career, I leveraged systems biology, bioinformatics, and biostatistics to dissect glycan function across diverse biological contexts—infant gut health, viral infection, and biosynthesis modeling. This work helped pioneer the emerging field of big-data glycomics and contributed new methods for modeling glycan metabolism and synthesis. Now, as the founder of **Augment**, I’m building on this foundation. We're developing **GlycoTemplating**—the first expression platform-agnostic approach to site-specific glycoengineering. By encoding glycans directly into the primary sequence of biologics, we’re unlocking a new dimension of control in protein drug design—boosting efficacy, safety, and manufacturability. My goal is to make glycobiology more predictable, accessible, and impactful—both in science and in medicine. Let’s connect if you’re interested in biologics design, platform biotech, or the frontiers of glycoscience.
