Growing up, I was always fascinated with the ways things worked. This passion brought me to begin my study in automotive and vehicle technology, a constantly evolving field. I am currently in my final year of a Masters of Applied Science degree at the University of Waterloo with a specialization in the energy absorption of CFRP composite components. As shown below, the concepts I have learned throughout my undergraduate degree at McMaster University and during my time at the University of Waterloo are very diverse.
During my time working as a TA under Moein Mehrtash, I assisted with labs where students learned engineering software. For the Kinematics and Dynamics Modeling and Simulation course, I assisted in teaching labs related to MSC Adams. In the Electronic and Electrical Control System course I assisted in teaching micro controller programming. I also helped with grading of assignments and tests.
At D&V I was responsible for creating specification documents on a variety of standard components used in equipment. The specification sheets were used internally by design engineers to clarify requirements for using each component. I was also responsible for updating red-lined wiring diagrams using electrical CAD software (E3). Finally, I was responsible for creating a tool to be used by engineering management to track employee load based on assigned tasks.
At CIBC, I worked in the application security team provisioning a variety of applications to user throughout the bank including telephone, trading apps, and support for the call centers
While working with Randstad, I worked in a variety of different places in a variety of role. I worked at Bericap, Burlington Hydro Inc, and Frost doing a variety of odd jobs when required.
