I provide high level export control consultation services to the Australian Department of Defence, Defence Industry and Space Industry. I am extremely passionate in ensuring the sovereignty of Australian capabilities when exported to foreign jurisdictions, including integrated within foreign systems. I have extensive experience of maintaining compliance with export control regulations including the United States (US) International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS). I also have frequently provided in-depth advice and compliance services relating to the export control regulations of key Australian defence partners, such as the United Kingdom and Germany.
Managing SAHR’s industry line of business, ensuring the provision of high quality technology and export controls consultation to Australian sovereign industry. • Accountable for the Industry line of business program management and service delivery. • Support delivery through project and program management of complex export control projects. • Uplifting clients export compliance by creating ting and implementing Export Control Management Frameworks. • Meet client’s export compliance project requirements through program/project schedule, resource and cost management. • Ensure continuous improvement through development of SAHR’s service offering. • Manage new and future clients through customer relationship management and business development. • Provide quality assurance through subject matter expert reviews for Industry line of business deliverables (both internal and external).

I was contracted through Goal Group into the International Export Controls (IEC) team.
The International Export Controls (IEC) Team is the top level policy unit for export controls within the Australian Department of Defence. The IEC team give advice, conduct training, undertake export control reform and produce process assets for all of the Department of Defence's export compliance. Notable achievements in this role are: - Continued assurance of Australian sovereign capabilities despite inclusion of internationally export controlled articles and services (including US), both within Australia and abroad. - Leading the Business Management System (BMS) implementation to provide a whole of Defence Export Controls policy tool. - Preparing advisory opinions for delivery to the Directorate of Defence Trade Controls (DDTC) and the Regional Security and Arms Transfers (RSAT) office. - Executing DDTC Proscribed Dual/Third National (PDTCN) requests. - Applying for export authorisation applications to US Departments such as RSAT and BIS. - Clarifying key export compliance points to whole of Defence. - Contribute to Defence Legal advice on contract law, privacy and discrimination legislation. - Developing dual national screening processes. - Prepare and administer Third Party Retransfer (TPR) training. - Create and provide specialised training to Systems Program Office (SPO) Export Control staff. - Developed internal TPR review training and processes. - Updated and maintained TPR templates for all of Defences use. - Team lead for the Technical Safeguards Agreement (TSA) negotiation. - IEC team’s key stakeholder for Defence Act Reform. - Routinely reform export control policy by engaging the Australian Embassy in Washington. - Team’s subject matter expert for Cooperative Program/Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) advice. - Spearheading consistent Export Control marking for Defence. - Executed IEC team planning for all business as usual and reform activities.
Responsible for all Export/Import compliance activities relating to the JP9711 Program, including the creation of corporate process assets. Key achievements were: - Established and implemented of companywide onboarding assets compliant with ITAR § 126.18. - Successfully undertook annual compliance audits. - Created affidavit for antidiscrimination waivers. - Produced Export/Import Compliance Plans, Processes and Workflows. - Ensured procurement compliance through assessments against consolidated lists. - Developed and implemented companywide Export Controlled Information marking guidance. - Provide Export Compliance advice and guidance. - Manage legally required record keeping for Export Compliance.
During my time on the Future Submarine Program (FSP) I was a key team member of the FSP Export/Import (EXIM) team. The EXIM teams key responsibility was to maintain compliance the Export Control Regimes of over ten countries, including US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) & Export Administration Regulations (EAR). While working on the FSP program some key achievements were: - Successfully created and complied with French and German End User Certificates (EUCs). - Creation & implementation of the FSP's standardised export control markings. - Assessed and implement EAR exceptions. - The creation of a complaint EXIM process for international expat transfers. - Developed the FSP's onboarding process. - Coordinated and gave training regarding multiple restrictive data types. - Produced and maintained authorisations such as Australian Permits, Foreign & Release Approvals. - Established a compliant framework for multiple Collaborative Operating Environments. - Stood up an Export Control Framework for the FSP Software Development Environment. - Executed networking as a Lockheed Martin Brand Ambassador.
My role at IGA is to conduct the daily operation of the in-store liquor department. This involves stock control, cash handling and assisting customers. I however have also taken on many other responsibilities within the 2IC role. This involves the ordering of stock, planning and setting up displays, as well as communicating with representatives from liquor companies.
