      Thesis: Investigating the Role that the G3BP protein Rasputin plays in the regulation of nanos expression Studied the role of Rasputin--the only Drosophila homologue of G3BP proteins which tend to be over-expressed in various human cancers--in the post-translational regulation of Nanos during oogenesis in this model organism. Obtained data was presented in senior thesis and in poster sessions in the Department of Molecular Biology. Skills developed include Drosophila husbandry and genetics, immunoblotting, immunofluorescence, and written and oral scientific communication.
