Fleet Automation, Electrical and Navigation Superintendent at Chevron

San Francisco Bay Area

About

My experience spans several years aboard various vessels as an Electrical Technical Officer and Automation Electrical Officer, where I honed a comprehensive skill set in Marine Engineering. In recognition of my performance, I was selected to become the inaugural AEO riding Superintendent for Chevron, a role that had me supervise electrical activities at shipyards and new vessel deliveries, ensuring efficiency, budget adherence, and safety. My responsibilities extended to sailing with ships to implement and repair systems, troubleshoot complex issues, conduct reliability assessments, and propose enhancements. Following the success of the AEO riding superintendent program, I advanced to a position as Fleet Automation, Electrical and Navigation Superintendent, a land-based role at Chevron in the USA. Here, I provide remote technical assistance across all Chevron vessels, serve as an electrical expert for new projects, manage shipyard resources, overhaul obsolete electrical equipment, oversee lifecycle management of existing installations, functional team lead of all AEO riding superintendents along with the entire program, and participate in onboarding new electrical personnel. In my tenure, I have been responsible for delivering three US flag product tankers, directing the electrical dimension of various shipyard or interim service projects, and have visited numerous vessels to facilitate system upgrades, including the introduction of Starlink satellite communication systems.
