Monitoring and supporting a wing of residents. Working with other colleagues and supervisors to help develop strategies and plans to maintain situations. In this role, I gained a large amount of experience in leadership, mental health care, first aid and event management. In these experiences led me to help first year university students in their journey moving out of home and into tertiary education.
In this internship, I gained experience in day to day work in a professional sports team training days. This incorporated working in strength and conditioning through monitoring gym sessions and running smaller group sessions (e.g. off-feet sessions). This helped me improve my communication, leadership and organisation skills into ensuring the team maintains and improves their physical capacities for the regular season.
This internship helped me get work place experience in a professional athlete working environment. My internship focused around the strength and conditioning aspect of each training day. In this experience lead to learning how to monitor weight sessions, improve upon lifting technique as well as taking control of the GPS Catapult system during court sessions for later analysis of workload.
