I am a chemical engineer with over 15 years of experience in plant engineering and capital project management. Typical projects have included chemical process design and installation, storage tank installation and repair, packaging equipment, fire suppression systems and utilities. I am API 653 certified and have earned a Lean Six Sigma green belt. In my current role as a Strategic Project Engineer at Diversey I am focused on the design, installation and start-up of new mixing, blending and packaging processes. In a previous role as a Senior Engineer at Peter Cremer North America I managed capital projects and provided production support in a GMP-regulated facility. I spent over 12 years in engineering roles at Valvoline. As a corporate Staff Project Engineer, I was responsible for budgeting and executing capital projects at various facilities in North America. As a Plant Engineer, I was the sole on-site engineer providing support to Valvoline’s largest blending and packaging facility. I supervised the plant’s maintenance team and managed the plant’s maintenance budget. Early in my career I was a Process Development Engineer for Süd-Chemie Inc. in Louisville, KY. My primary duties included scaling up fluid bed and fixed bed catalyst products from R&D to production. I gained valuable hands-on experience with a variety of chemical process equipment including spray dryers, fluid bed dryers, filter presses, membrane filtration systems, extruders, pellet mills and high shear mixers.
