I worked in the lamination department which produces laminated chipboard for global usage. I have been a press operator for the last 2 years which involves controlling a thermal oil press. Operating pneumatic and hydraulic systems to the relevant settings for specific materials. Before this I was a quality inspector, this involved grading laminated chipboard and MDF to good or bad quality, cutting to size and doing regular quality control checks to make sure it meets tight specifications.
Whirlst working as a Kitchen Sales Designer, my role was to design kitchens to a customer’s specific requirements and negotiate the price where necessary. I had various targets to achieve per day, weekly and monthly which I consistently achieved and over-achieved. Part of this was due to communicating regularly with the client's whether it be over the phone, email, or face to face.
Whirlst employed in this role, my duties were to maintain the warehouse control levels of stock, meet deadlines, unload delivery wagons manually as well as operate the forklift truck. When I was here, I learned a lot about electrical components and electrical requirements.
Throughout my time here, I would control stock levels, unload and re-load delivery wagons and assist in the general upkeep of warehouse to comply with required Health and Safety standards.
