Fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. After 17 years as a high-volume hip and knee surgeon — recognized for quality, clinical excellence, and early adoption of value-based payment models — I shifted my career to focus on system-level problems. I now advise startups, health tech companies, and care delivery organizations on clinical strategy, quality, and care model design. I stay clinically active through non-operative musculoskeletal care and consultative work, keeping my perspective grounded in what actually happens at the point of care. I chair the Practice Management Committee for AAHKS and sit on the Editorial Board of The Journal of Arthroplasty. I write regularly for clinicians and healthcare operators on strategy, quality, and the evolving role of physicians in care delivery. I work with a small number of organizations where the fit is right.
