Learning about the operations of the aggregate industry and Vulcan Materials Company's way of operating in the fast paced and hands on environment of an aggregate processing plant.
I designed and fabricated a Chromoly steel mountain bike frame from scratch. During this project, I honed my problem-solving and metal fabrication skills. I learned how to shape tubes and miter tubes both by hand and by using a mill. I also learned how to silver braze and practiced my TIG welding skills, namely on thin sidewall tubes.
