Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of plant equipment such as piping, valves, pumps, motors, chemical feed equipment, tanks, mixers, and building facilities as directed. • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment such as compressors, pumps, piping, valves, mixers, chemical feed equipment, tanks, engines, and HVAC equipment (boilers, air conditioners, and air handlers). • Use of companies LOTO, confined space entry, and work permit programs. • Purchase items for repairs around the plant • Contact vendors • Utilize computer maintenance management system to track and access maintenance records
Successfully completing any and all supplied training courses related to any DMU vehicle system and/or subsystem. • Assisting with DMU testing and acceptance program. • Assisting vendors in repairing the DMU during warranty period. • Assisting in setting up the DMU Maintenance Shop. • Inspecting, troubleshoot, repair and test DMU systems and equipment. • Performing mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic diagnosis. • Documenting warranty data according to client policies and procedures. • Complying with all safety, operating and maintenance procedures. • Demonstrating ability to work in a team environment to complete repairs in a timely manner. • Providing passenger service support to minimize service delays. • Performing re-railing operations as required. • Working outdoors in inclement weather as needed. • Maintaining small tool equipment. • Working with minimal direct supervision. • Utilizing the client supplied MMIS system as required. • Required to work at any time of the day or night as assigned. • TIG welding and fabrication of components. • Diesel maintenance on Cummins and Deutz engines.
