Key responsibilities include: 1) Leading the Sign-up and Verification value stream, responsible for Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti Money Laundering (AML) regulatory compliance, in relation to the launch of a Sportsbook and Casino platform in Ontario, Canada. a) Definition of MVP and Phase 2 for delivery, and creation of full backlog of work for workstream. b) Redesign of sign-up and verification flows, including introduction of additional functionality, to ensure compliance with Ontario KYC and AML legislation. c) Third party integrations with Aristotle and Onfido (KYC identity verification solutions) d) Data warehousing e) Data migration 2) Geolocation product development 3) Account/Wallet product development
End client: Springer Nature The leading publisher of the world’s most prestigious scientific research journals. Key responsibilities included: 1) Design and implementation of new checkout functionalities: a) Ability to purchase additional research promotional materials during and post checkout. b) Ability for ‘third parties’ to check out / make payment on behalf of authors. c) Replacement of payment agency in China. 2) Determination of team priorities, facilitating the creation of problem statements and running sessions to determine whether/how best to tackle each. 3) Driving adoption of OKRs and using this framework to guide the team’s priorities. 4) Relationship management with stakeholders, decomposing requirements, and forming and curating a backlog. 5) Leading Product Team ceremonies. 6) Mentoring and onboarding for nascent Checkout Team.
Key responsibilities included: 1) Discovery/Delivery phases of OMS replacement: a) Replacement of Oracle ATG and associated legacy systems, moving to a modular, API driven, cloud architecture. b) Documentation of technical as-is and business process as-is. c) Creation of business requirements documentation (BRD). d) Creation/validation of Request for Proposal (RFP). e) Gap analysis of vendor capabilities against BRD. f) Definition of MVP for delivery and creation of full backlog of work for workstream. Primarily creation of new services (product, location, inventory, etc) and enablement of event streaming from masterdata systems for data population into consumer systems. 2) Discovery phase of Payments replacement: a) Documentation of technical as-is and business process as-is for payments (3DS, fraud check, bank card services, etc). 3) Backlog refinement and prioritisation with Enablement Team (DevOps, PerformanceTest and Security teams): a) One month secondment during OMS project downtime, largely focused around CI/CD pipeline creation.
