I have joined Lidl in this role to further create a strong foundation for my career, where I will build an understanding of their policies and procedures, whilst adapting to retail on a larger scale. I will also be looking to progress into the Deputy Store Manager role.
• To assist and undertake detailed weekly/monthly monitoring of the business utilising EPOS management information and internal management accounts to reflect upon forecasted budgets, and to construct the annual budget. • To identify and deliver ongoing training for student staff and to take a lead role in the recruitment, selection and induction of staff, undertaking reviews and appraisals as appropriate and in line with Union policy. • To manage a rota system to ensure that appropriate staffing levels are maintained, ensuring that staff hours are adequately monitored, and confirmed hours are submitted for payroll in line with Finance procedures and payment schedules. • To liaise with representatives of NUS Services LTD as required to ensure compliance with the consortium’s buying policies, and cost-effective, timely stock procurement. • To act as central point of contact for suppliers. • To lead on and be the main point of contact for custom course related garments. • To be responsible for the day to day stock management and control, to include the achievement of any targets set for gross profit, wastage and rotation.
