The focal point of all items related to engineering for completion programs. Responsible for the project performance in relation to both budget and schedule adherence, solving technical roadblocks and senior management reporting. Also responsible for driving the development of processes, that are used to optimise the existing department practices across multiple disciplines within engineering, as well as the associated downstream customers. Through process optimisation and implementation, engineering hours were reduced by 8%, resulting in an overall project commercial improvement of 15% for gross profit.
Due to a change in the company structure from silo functional to a matrix organisation, I was tasked to develop a multicultural multidisciplinary engineering team that spans both completions and Maintenance business units. In order to meet the strategic goals of the company, a horizontal style management/reporting system to replace the existing vertical methodology was developed and implemented. Resulting in improved communications and reporting, increased ownership of deliverables at an individual level and an increase in employee efficiency.
Managed the stress teams from launch to delivery for three off Narrow Body and one off Wide Body VVIP completion projects. Developed and implemented a program that incorporated a value stream map and lean methodologies to determine the wastage that was occurring with the stress department, resulting in a reduction of hours spent and an increased in quality, “first time right”, whilst maintaining an already compressed schedule.

AIM Aviation 2009 - 2013 Senior Structures Engineer April 2012 - May 2013 • Managed test house facility expansion program, including both detailed design and validation to Airbus and Boeing standards for all aircraft types. • Managed the structural test program for an A380 program, largest and most complex AIM project to date • Presented as project lead, the test house expansion program to senior Boeing management.
