I returned to Microsoft in a contracting role over the summer, working as the lead designer on the transformation of the Thames Valley Police and Hampshire Constabulary self-service gateway.
Primary designer on Thames Valley Police & Hampshire Constabulary: A Contact Management Programme that will replace legacy systems at the UK’s 3rd largest Police Force. This involved producing wireframes and designs for a self-service gateway and working directly with TVPHC’s product owners. I rapidly learnt how to implement the designs using HTML and CSS which eventually led to owning all of the styling tasks for the Citizen Gateway. Presales designs and marketing videos: I worked with the user experience team to deliver app wireframes, visuals and a promotional animation video on projects including Facebook, Virgin Atlantic and Nuffield Health resulting in high customer satisfaction and the extension of contracts upwards of $450k. Stretch projects: Outside of my day to day role, I joined the Milkround and Buddy teams which involved using creativity and leadership to drive talent acquisition and organise inductions for early in career talent. I acted as the lead UX consultant and project lead in a team of interns that went into Brookfields special needs school and held focus sessions to discover which features of office 365 could help them become more efficient. We created and delivered a training program to help them adopt the new technology and execute their strategy.
