Created internal tool, developed using AWS S3, IAM, Lambda, and CloudFormation and deployed using CI/CD pipelines, that enabled AWS Managed Services' (AMS) software developers to more efficiently and safely deploy code into AWS customer accounts. Tool transitioned AMS engineers from developing AWS Lambda functions using in-line code, to enabling engineers to develop a package, pipeline, and deployment strategy. Enabled AMS engineers to author unit and integration tests with Brazil (Amazon's build framework) on code before deploying to AMS customer accounts, reducing the amount of bugs present in code. Eliminated 4096 character limit that restricted how much code an engineer could write and enabled static code parsing.
Analyzed power consumption trends from power management applications. Determined when electrical substations will reach maximum power capacity from observed data trends. Validated and corrected software model of site's main switch-gears. Created spreadsheet using observed data trends that expedites the review process of adding new electrical loads to the power system.
Created a prototype network using Python to model a smart power grid that would relay data about buildings’ power usage and generation to utility companies. Laid groundwork for GRAPES Center’s future development of their Cyber Secure Power Router product.
