Data Scientist Lead experienced in conceptualising and developing analytical solutions, particularly AI-based tools, to help organizations making data-driven decisions. Currently working in the Data Intelligence team of BCA Europe.
• Data extraction, cleaning, transformation and analysis (using Python and PySpark). • Development of Deep Learning-based solutions for image segmentation and classification. • Model training and hyperparameter tuning. • Construction of inference pipelines for AI solutions. • Data Engineering pipelines' development for Big Data. • Involvement in projects based on an Agile methodology through Scrum (usage of tools such as Jira and Confluence). • Creation of dashboards for data visualisation (using PowerBI). • Delivery of cloud-based solutions using Azure Services. • Functional tasks regarding result presentations, documentation writing, communication to clients, and elaboration of new project proposals. • Involvement in projects for the Public, Banking and Utilities Sector.
• Development of generative Deep Learning models for medical image quality improvement using Python (Keras, Numpy, Pandas and Matplotlib were among the libraries used). • Performance analysis and model optimization. • Conception and employment of a validation method for assessing the quality improvement through computer-aided diagnosis. • Dissertation writing (in English using LaTeX) cointaing an in-depth description of all developments, result analysis and relevant findings. Received a grade of 19/20.
• Motion sensors signal processing and algorithm development for biomechanical monitoring tests aimed for Parkinson patients (Python). • Analysis of the algorithm’s accuracy for step detection in comparison to the golden standard; • Machine Learning applied to gate detection through IMU sensor’s data.
• Data management and analysis (focus on Tuberculosis genomic data). • Anti-TB drug resistance statistical analysis from a Tuberculosis Survey – analysis of its correlation to demographic and genetic data (using R). • Participation in the writing of an article for Scientific Reports - Nature.
