Sustainability in all its facets: improved businesses for a better world. That is what matters and moves me. Educated as a lawyer – during my 35-year business career with a consistent record of delivering results and creating shareholder value in investment banking and asset management and sustainability – my key skills that led to success are: • Inclusive people management • Positive problem-solving attitude • Strategic forward-looking orientation • Focused change management My deep understanding of how investors judge investments as well as my experience building successful businesses together with my thought leadership in sustainability bring essential dimensions into management decisions. While I have been with the “same” company my entire career, I had leadership roles in launching new businesses and contributing forward thinking strategies – including responsibility for accretive acquisitions and mergers. Understanding the dynamics of creating winning companies in increasingly competitive business environments is one of my most praised skills. In 2019 I have been appointed chair of the Advisory Board of Enactus Germany, the global network dedicated to making the world a better place through entrepreneurial action. In 2023 Enactus ask me to join the management board as deputy CEO. I have served as the first Chief Sustainability Officer for Allianz Global Investors. This newly created ‘C-level’ position spearheaded the sustainability strategy in both the management of the business and the design of ESG products. In addition to my roles in asset management, I provided leadership for the company wide Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives. To support diversity in all its facets matters to me, so I became a founding member of 100 Women in Finance Germany and invented the role model series – where established female leader talk with talents to educate and encourage them on their way to the top. I am proud that I was asked to join the Sporthilfe Germany Kuratorium to support female athletes when they transit to ‘normal life’ to find a fulfilling and fitting carrier. On top of all charity activities, I am the founder, designer and owner of the exclusive handbag Company B•A-G – which I restarted in 2019. The brand B•A-G epitomizes functional elegance, blending high-quality, sustainably sourced Italian leather with impeccable craftsmanship and it prioritizes transparency, traceability, and ethical practices, ensuring materials meet international standards and environmental efforts.
