Harshit (aka Bauwaji) leads India AMXL FC Operations, managing 22 3P run FCs and one Amazon owned FC with a team of 50 members in Amazon and 1200 members in 3P partner teams. Scaled India AMXL Network from 1.1 MM SFT to 3.4 MM SFT in the last 4 years (CAGR of ~35% in the last three years at operating budget of ~INR 2000 MM). He works closely with Business, Operations, Technology teams and external Logistics Partners/Vendors in designing and setting up logistics solutions/network for new India AMXL (Heavy-Bulky) Business. Before his current stint of Operations Country Head, he has worked as Manager III, Program Management at Amazon with managing programs ranging from Warehousing to Transportation and Delivery Experience for customers with scale, cost, speed etc. being the prime portfolio. He did his internship at Sony Pictures Network India (SPN) and is an MBA in HR from XLRI Jamshedpur. He worked on a project to implement an HR Technology suite for recruitment and learning & development at SPN. A graduate from NIT Jamshedpur, Harshit has also worked in JSW Steel for two years prior to joining XLRI Jamshedpur. At JSW Steel he worked as Shift In-charge (operations) of Blast Furnace 4 leading a team of 30 people comprising of engineers, junior engineers and skilled and semi-skilled workers. Prior to his stint as Shift In-charge he worked as control room operator in Blast Furnace. He is interested in reading and writing and have won many awards in debating & quizzing and other events at school and college level. He has also led different teams at the college and school level donning various roles and responsibilities.
Evaluation of a comprehensive HR Technology suite for digitizing the recruitment and learning processes for SPN. Job required evaluation of vendors for a HR Tech Suite with key considerations on A) Integration with existing SAP modules b) recruiting capability b) Learning modules capability d) Cost. Following are key deliverables in the project: 1. As-is and proposed Process Mapping - Recruitment & Selection 2. As-is and proposed Process Mapping - Learning & Development 3. Recommendation for a system which best meets our needs (with rationale and feasibility), and detailed implementation road map with milestones and timelines 4. Implementation of the modules Basic responsibilities: Process understanding and mapping for recruitment and learning & development Vendor selection at 3 different levels Recommend how to digitize the current process and communicate the same with vendors Taking demo sessions of vendors to understand their value proposition Identification of parameters for evaluation of vendors Vendor selection and road map for implementation Data feed to vendor at implementation stage
Operations Shift In-charge in Blast Furnace 4, led the team of 30 workers. Achievements- Innovation in feeding regime of Blast furnce- brought down the cost of production by INR 11,00,000 per year, reduced fines generation by 1080 tons per year.
