Proven track record in design innovation, sustainability integration, and multi-disciplinary team leadership across Asia and the Middle East. MY JOURNEY: With solid and very diverse employments, and well over a 100 hundred projects, my career is already a comprehensive, steady and exciting experience. Each office brought very new, almost opposite, challenges and experiences. Which I see as a great source of knowledge and development of skills. • After graduating I first worked on intricate and lengthy projects at Hertzberger in my native Netherlands. It gave me an experience of working in a small office and in the detailing of relatively small projects. • In contrast my second job was a deliberate choice to work in the large offices of HPA in, for me, unknown China on rapid mega projects. I learned to adapt (and even speak Mandarin) be flexible and became fast in design and production. • Aedas allowed me to go deep into the functioning and detailing of complex buildings and utilize design and organizational skills internationally. • OMA brought me the opportunity to involve in comprehensive research and studies. I learned about challenging the fundamentals of a project and developing clear, thorough, innovative designs. From inception to construction. • 10 Design brought the experience to work on the comprehensive NEOM projects and to realize out of this world buildings. Teaming up with 20+ consultant disciplines gave unique insights in building requirements and how to organize these. Working on the carbon footprint of the office and its projects was exciting and meaningful.
