Third-year medical student at UCL, currently undertaking an iBSc in Global Health. President of UCL Arab and North African Society, one of the UK’s largest Arab societies. Interested in public health and equity, cardiology, women’s health, medical research and mentorship.
Attended Aswan Heart Centre as a clinical observer which consisted of practical learning on-site through Cardiology clinics, ICU placement as well as surgery and catheterisation lab exposure. Gave a detailed insight into the conditions patients face in a specialised cardiac centre made for equitable healthcare access.
Attended a summer training programme for medical students at Baheya Foundation for Early Breast Cancer detection. This involved learning through taught lectures on-site and clinical exposure to cancer patients through surgery and clinics.
