De Voogt Naval Architects (DVNA) is a specialist engineering firm with 150+ employees, located in Hoofddorp. The company is part of Feadship, the globally renowned brand of custom-built superyachts built by Koninklijke De Vries and Royal Van Lent. The organization acts as the knowledge center within Feadship and takes care of the design, basic engineering and research & development for both parent companies. As such, the services offered by DVNA are inclusive of the following in-house disciplines: Design Studio, Theoretical Shipbuilding, Ship Construction, Interior, Exterior and Mechanical. Being the Managing Director I report to the Board of Directors, and I am responsible to provide strategic leadership to the company, taking into account the frameworks set by the shareholders. As Managing Director, I am involved in all facets of the organization, including customer satisfaction, quality, finance and culture monitoring. As Manager Projects I managed the project management department and I was responsible for all De Voogt’s engineering services on projects. This concerned all projects that De Voogt executes for the Feadship yards. These engineering services consisted of the Contract & Basic Design from the disciplines of Naval Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, Interior and Exterior Engineering. My specific responsibilities included among others: • P&L of De Voogt’s projects and project governance. • Order intake & contracting. • Project execution and handover. • Project planning, budgeting and reporting. • Managing De Voogt’s Project Managers. • Processes and tools, risk management and WBSO management. • Design coordination and ad-hoc capacity planning & contracting.
Executive Board member REASeuro REASeuro offers a unique range of UXO related services, varying from on-site EOD Management, UXO Training, Consultancy and UXO Detection, Identification and Clearance services. REASeuro provided these services to clients on land and in the marine and offshore sectors. I was responsible for the commercial, operational and financial performance of the Business Unit Operations. This business unit delivered the following services on land and at sea: • Historical Research • Project Risk Analysis • UXO detection, identification and clearance services • On/off-site EOD Management • Customer EOD management
Member Leadership Team Van Oord and MT-member Van Oord Engineering & Estimating Responsible for establishing a corporate Project Planning & Risk Department that supports Offshore, Offshore Wind and Dredging tenders and projects worldwide. Responsibilities included: • Developing the strategic agenda for Van Oord with respect to project planning and risk. • Creating a professional team of project planners and risk managers (in 2018 50 FTE, globally active). • Maximize the added value created to tenders and projects. • Developing and implementation of SOP's, tooling and quality standards.
Responsible for Heerema Marine Contractor's (HMC) global planning, document control and project secretaries' departments with offices in Europe, the USA and Australia. The departments provided project services for the preparation and execution of HMC's offshore EPCI, Transport, Installation and Removal tender & project portfolio with a value of over 3 billion dollars. • General Management of one of HMC's global knowledge departments (around 80 FTE). • Reorganized and integrated the Planning, Document Control and Secretaries Departments. • Realized significant operational and financial synergies increasing profitability per employee. • Developed and implemented standard operating procedures & processes, KPI's and quality standards. As Project Manager, being responsible for the EPCI phases of the 6,000-ton Alba PSC B3 gas compression platform offshore Equatorial Guinea. • Managing a multi-site project team of technical and non-technical experts. • Project budget: EUR >50 million.
