As the Solution Management team, we are responsible for the strategy, roadmap, go-to-market approach and P&L (+€300mln of yearly revenue) of SMA’s Home and Business Solutions portfolio. Our solutions combine hardware enablers such as inverters, storage systems, EV chargers, energy meters and backup solutions with software capabilities such as energy management, mobile apps and web portals. Together, these solutions help end customers lower their energy costs, increase energy independence and use renewable energy more effectively. At the same time, they enable installers to design, sell, install and service SMA solutions in the most efficient and professional way.
Responsible for the strategy and development of SMA’s energy management portfolio, including hardware enablers such as energy meters and controllers, as well as software-based optimization capabilities. In this role, I helped drive the transition from a legacy energy management solution to a new ennexOS-based platform. This included the development of cloud-based use cases such as forecast-based self-consumption optimization, peak load shaving, and dynamic tariff optimization. I also contributed to the extension of SMA’s Modbus and cloud interfaces, enabling system integrators and partners to integrate SMA products into their ecosystems more easily.
The Adviesraad Energietransitie is Rabobank’s advisory board on sustainable energy solutions. It brings together professionals from various fields to share insights, explore opportunities, and guide Rabobank in accelerating the energy transition. This is a voluntary advisory position and not a change in my current employment.
